What do you think makes a successful place 'work'?
Vibrancy, somewhere with pockets of intimate space and shelter which make you pause for thought. Where there is investment and support for independent traders.
What is your favourite place & why?
For 2013, that would have to be watching the fisherman on Odayam Beach, Varkala, India. Time, ‘progress’ and resort development along this west coastal strip in Kerala seems not to have touched their daily routine.
What interests you outside of work?
A continually growing music CD collection to compete with my husbands vinyl and an obsession with Scandinavian and British mid-century ‘finds’. I am a trustee at Llamau a homeless charity I hope to do their ‘Sleep Out’ this year if I can raise the funds.
