Port Talbot Town Centre street furniture
In 2008 The Urbanists were commissioned by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to prepare a feasibility study to aid the regeneration of the Town Centre. A key suggestion in the study focused on upgrading the public realm and visually quality of the Town Centre.
In 2011 The Urbanists were further commissioned to take forward recommendations for new street furniture on Station Road with an overall aim of improving the public realm.
The project involved the selection, layout and detailing of a new suite of street furniture including bespoke stone planters incorporating seating. The Urbanists prepared a full tender package for this project which has now secured European Funding.
