Investing in people
In April 2013, Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert AM presented the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) award to The Urbanists. The minister praised The Urbanists for promoting high business standards and demonstrating that Wales has a committed, skilled and flexible workforce that allows businesses to be competitive on a global scale.
The IiP assessor, Dr Patricia Weslake-Evans, attended the presentation and said that The Urbanists were on the leading edge of best people management practice in the UK, and that team spirit, engagement and continuous learning were built into the ethos of the company.
