Marlas Community Design Training
Given the potential for physical change in Marlas we recommended that Valleys to Coast and Communities First Cornelly, conducted a Community Design Training programme to enable local residents to have a greater role in the physical change to their neighbourhood.
In March 2010, Powell Dobson Urbanists commenced the first two of eight sessions with twelve members of the local community who were interested in having a more hands on role in the future of their place.
Through this process Powell Dobson Urbanists have encouraged the residents to see their place with fresh perspective, by preparing mental maps and exploring physical change and regeneration in other neighbourhoods in the UK.
