Urbanists advise NHS on future of property
NHS Property Services have recently commissioned the Urbanists to evaluate the development potential of Victoria House, a surplus property close to the city centre of Hereford. The site forms part of the former Eye hospital in Eign Street which has been derelict for a number of years. Previous proposals for the site foundered as a result of its location at the western edge of the city’s Conservation Area. It is clear that this will demand a sensitive approach to the design of the scale and massing of any replacement buildings. The Urbanists are leading a multi disciplinary team which includes transportation advisers and specialist conservation consultants.
