Developing the Cardiff Capital Region Metro
The Urbanists have been retained by Welsh Government to continue to support the development of the Cardiff Capital Region Metro. This transformational project will comprehensively improve the economic, social and cultural connections between the different communities of the region.
Following our contribution to the Impact Study for the Metro in October 2013 (http://wales.gov.uk/topics/transport/integrated/metro/?lang=en) we are continuing to work with the Metro strategy team that has been set up within Welsh Government to develop specific project proposals. The Urbanists will contribute our placemaking, urban design and strategic planning expertise to the Metro team that also includes Mark Barry, Arup, Mott Macdonald, Chandler KBS and Jones Lang LaSalle.
